1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StartupMentors ("the Platform") at startupmentors.one, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

StartupMentors is a platform that connects European startup founders with experienced mentors. The Platform provides a map-based directory of mentors, messaging capabilities, and mentor profile management tools.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• One person may not maintain more than one active mentor profile.

4. Mentor Profiles

If you register as a mentor, you agree that:

• The information in your profile is truthful and not misleading.
• You have the qualifications and experience you claim to have.
• Your profile will be publicly visible on the Platform, including your name, location, expertise, and pricing.
• You are responsible for setting your own rates and availability.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or abusive content through the messaging system
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or Platform systems
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Platform without permission

6. Transactions Between Users

StartupMentors facilitates connections between founders and mentors but is not a party to any agreement, transaction, or engagement between them. We do not guarantee the quality of mentoring services, and any arrangements (including payment) are solely between the mentor and the founder.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by StartupMentors. Content you upload (profile information, photos, messages) remains yours, but you grant us a license to display it on the Platform as needed to provide the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your mentor profile will be removed from the Platform.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Austria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Vienna, Austria.
